Beautiful ceiling. We have very few classical buildings left and I am glad there was an attempt at restoration. Mutthiah’s book on Madras shows over 270 colonial structures. What do we have now despite a few that have been engulfed by concrete monstrosities. Unfortunately due to excessive crowding we have lost the concept of space and setbacks in our architecture. Hari enjoy the old Madras- it will ultimately become CHENNAI

Yes, Ramdas, there are very few heritage buildings remaining in Madras, for the reasons you mentioned. If you are here before 24th you can visit the Biennale at the Senate House.
