The area around Ritchie street is prime commercial area. Being the heart of the electronics market and close to Mount Road. Yet one finds dilapidated buildings like this. Is it awaiting the developer’s bulldozer or just neglectd?

Sunday, early morning was very quiet in the usually busy Chintadripet, well known for various workshops. However, Pazhani, the carpenter was busy with his work, cutting and arranging the wooden reapers. He had no hesitation to pose for us.

The West Cooum river road in Chintadripet is full of auto repair shops.  This man was sitting in an auto rickshaw and willingly posed for several photographs. Only when I enquired about his name, I learned  that he was deaf and dumb!
