The Day after NEET

The National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to Undergraduate medical programs was held yesterday. By most accounts it went off well despite the pandemic constraints.

The above is a scene from a centre where the exam was held yesterday. There is a sense of calm after the excitement. Unlike earlier, there were no brochures and handbills strewn all over.

there were, of course some unfortunate incidents associated with such exams. Politicians and Tamil film personalities are already using this to divert the limelight on themselves.

Hope all will work towards providing quality educational and fair access to all.

Blue Enamel Board

West Mambalam

The blue enamel street name boards were very common in Madras once. They have been replaced by modern signages but some remain. The steps lead to the chariot of the Kothanda Rama Swamy temple.
