The exhibits at the Lighthouse MRTS during the Chennai Biennale were unattended and neglected. This guard employed by a private agency made up for it. He was very helpful and took me round some of the major exhibits.

The milk crates of the local dairy (Aavin) was always dark blue. So, these orange coloured crates are a welcome change. wonder if the colours (blue, orange) have any significance.

We met Balan in a narrow lane off Harrington Road. He proudly showed us his homing pigeons. He reminded us that these are local varieties and are not racing pigeons. Racing pigeons are different and he said there were quite a few enthusiasts in Chennai. While his pigeons do not go beyond the city, racing pigeons can fly hundreds of kilometers.
