Museum Theater, Egmore, Chennai
Yesterday was World Theatre Day and I happened to pass by the Museum Theatre which was the venue of many a plays by various troupes from Madras as well as from all over the world.
The structure built is the late 19th Century (1896) is a fine example of Indo-Saracenic style. Fortunately for us it has been fairly well maintained.
The Museum complex as a whole wears a totally new visitor-friendly look both inside and outside. It appears that some thought and resources have gone into it.

The Indira Nagar MRTS station situated on the IT Expressway (OMR) now wears a new look. Street artist A-Kill and the St+Art Foundation (who were involved in the Kannagi Nagar Project also) have collaborated with the Tamil Nadu Aids Control Society to paint the walls with themes aimed at destigmatizing aids patients.

At the peak of the pandemic, one of the trees in the Indira Nagar Park fell . The trunk was sawed off and removed. One piece of the trunk however was left behind to dry and rot. It was cut off from the roots and lanced by steel rods on the fence.
One day, the dry trunk started sprouting green shoots.
There is always hope even in the most hopeless situation.
