While driving back from a photo walk on Sunday, I was amused to see some youngsters painting the walls of my old alma mater. I got down and enquired with one of the youngsters there. He explained that they are from the Kri Foundation. The paintings were on themes related to reducing waste, recycling waste and responsible disposal of waste. This was also a lead up to another event called, ‘Chennai Coastal Cleanup’.
It is heartening when youngsters take up such initiative. I only hope the efforts sustain and percolate to all levels.
Have these youngsters heard about the concept of upcycling of waste and the work done by organizations like GoliSoda? (click here)
